In only his second year at Lassiter, Mr. Williams’ Chamber Chorale was selected to perform as a model choir for the Georgia Music Educators Association in Savannah, Georgia. It was for this performance that the Lassiter Chorus commissioned its first piece, “How Do I Love Thee” - Eric Nelson, Composer. In 2008, the famed Lassiter Concert Chorale was chosen by the American Choral Directors Association to perform at its Regional Convention in Louisville, Kentucky. In the Fall of 2009, Lassiter Chorus was invited by Belmont University to perform on their Fall Festival on the campus of Belmont. This choir was the only high school choir invited to attend and perform with the choirs of Belmont. Most recently, due to the demonstrated performance excellence of his choruses, Lassiter Chorus students were chosen to perform for the past two consecutive years with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra's "A Very Merry Holiday Pops" series along with Walton High School Chorus students. Mr. Williams’ choirs and students are in constant demand. His singers are selected for District Honor Chorus, All State Chorus, ACDA Regional and National Honor Choirs, and Georgia’s Governor’s Honors Program.
